FIU Director Moves into Private Practice

Earlier we told you about the new ambassadors, Well, the Financial Intelligence Unit also announced today that effective July 31st, Leni Ysaguirre McGann is no longer the Director of the Financial Intelligence Unit. She had been in that post from February of 2023, and she now moves over to the private law firm of Courtenay Coye LLP, which carries the name of the Minister of State for Finance.

Taking her place is a veteran of the Central Bank Marilyn Gardiner-Usher has been appointed as the FIU's new Director with effect from August 4th, 2025.

A release says that "Gardiner-Usher brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the areas of financial intelligence, anti-money laundering, and regulatory compliance."
