It was like a collective amnesia swept through the Supreme Court today in the murder trial of Saul Cardona, and Mark Flowers accused of killing Mark Saragoza.
Three witnesses in a row who had given statements to the police told the court they remembered nothing. The first witness who was riding with Saragoza when he was shot told the court he was drunk and the time and remembered nothing. Then, the second said he couldn't remember anything either because he too was drunk. And then, the police's Armorer Albert Ciego told the court he couldn't remember if he placed distinguishing marks on bottle containing the slugs taken from the victim's body. With that mass amnesia, Defense Attorney's Simeon Sampson and Lutchman Sooknandan had no questions for the witnesses.
