7NEWS has confirmed that domestic abuse victim Lorna Wade could be returning home as early as tomorrow. The family says that Wade is to be released from the Clinica Merida in Merida City tomorrow and she could be on a flight home shortly after.
The bad news in all is that we understand Lorna's main problem now are her mounting medical bills at the Clinica Merida which is about U.S. $10,000 which needs to be paid before she is released.
But the good news is that she can speak and move around, but very slowly and she is expected to recover fully. But she is not out of the woods yet, as she will still require both physical and psychiatric therapy and possible hospitalization once she returns.
Wade was flown to Merida exactly one week ago today. She first made the headlines earlier this month when on June 4th she was beaten with a 2 x 4 piece of board by a crazed ex-boyfriend. A CAT scan in Merida showed that her skull had been fractured and her brain was swollen.
