Guatemalan Woman Charged for Murder

Police today formally arraigned a 20-year-old Guatemalan woman for the stabbing death of 23-year-old Yesenia Salguera that occurred on Sunday night.

Yanira Dominguez Escobar today appeared before a Magistrate in San Ignacio where she was read charges of murder. She was then remanded to prison until August 4th of this year.

At around 11:30 on Sunday night Salguera was in the company of some 4 other women when they visited San Pedro Bar in San Ignacio. Once there Salguera became involved in an altercation with another woman who stabbed her once to the chest killing her almost instantly.
