5 Years for Stealing Phone from A Woman's Underwear

He'd been accused of stealing a cell phone from inside a woman's underwear and today 31-year-old Guy Cherrington Jr. made an appearance at Magistrate's Court. But when he saw the complainant he suddenly disappeared. Still, the case continued. Through laughter, the victim Ingrid Avilez told the court that she was asleep at her home with her Nokia phone tucked inside her underwear when she felt as if someone was tickling her. But it went from tickling to pulling and that's when she woke up to see Cherrington, who she knows, run off with her cell phone. Cherrington was found guilty of burglary and sentenced to 6 years in prison. While he was not in Magistrate's Court to hear the sentence, the police did catch up with him as he was found near the Queen Street Station and sent to the Hattieville Prison immediately.
