Cayo Police Shoot Suspect in Leg

He was a wanted man, but after Cayo police shot 45 year old Samuel Simpson, the only thing he wanted was a doctor. Around noon today, police saw Simpson near Venus Hotel in the heart of the town. They claims he was wanted for questioning about a string of burglaries and they went to apprehend him. But, they claim Simpson pulled a knife and, as they say, "advanced towards the police." Police shot him in the leg. It was only a minor injury and he was released from the hospital into police custody where he was charged for thee counts of burglary. He was also charged for aggravated assault after he held a knife at police, and drug trafficking, for 70 grams of marijuana he had in his pants.
