It's as modest a donation as we've ever reported on, but as the saying goes, you can't look a gift horse in the mouth and Baptist Pre School in the Port Loyola division certainly would not. The donation came from the Loyola Emergency Relief Organization, a functionary of the Port Loyola Area Representative's Committee and they handed over a desk and a filing cabinet. But even though it was brand new second hand, the head teacher at the pre-school was appreciative.

Sabrina Muschamp, Baptist Pre-School
"It will be very beneficial for us because we used to have papers store on the desks and it will help us to be more organized with the filing cabinet."

Hon. Anthony "Boots" Martinez, Port Loyola Area Rep.
"We brought some filing cabinets, some desks, some chairs, and as Area Representative, that was what was gathered from organization and as Area Representative I am donating a water cooler. And you know we are in the political season and I think that I've managed through the city council candidates to secure a stove for this building here, that will be coming next week."

Alfonso Noble,
Some people looking on will say this is just pure politicking and you probably have never visited this pre-school prior to today.

Hon. Anthony "Boots" Martinez,
"That is not so. Mr. Flores could tell you that I've been in regular dialogue with him in regards to this school and besides that, it has to be politics because we live it everyday and it's the season and I think besides that, the school is not bogged down with politics, I think that as a representative and as a community leader, these are the things we are supposed to do."

A stove and a water cooler will also be donated.
