JUST IN: Armed Tourism Constable in Shootout with Police

In an update to a story that we ran earlier in this newscast....7NEWS has just received reports from Mosul Street that there was a shootout between a police constable and a special constable. Initial reports are that it is the same special constable that we mentioned earlier, Charles Grant. It seems police were looking for Grant because he had stolen a weapon from the Department and allegedly used that weapon to shot at his stepdaughter. They found him tonight on Mosul Street and that's when the shooting occurred. We understand both men have been taken to the hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
