He was unlicensed, un-insured, and early this morning Natalio Wicab allegedly knocked down and killed a 62 year old woman. The incident occurred in San Felipe
Village around 6:15 am when Wicab told police he was reversing his Isuzu Trooper out of his yard and hit Carmen Zetina who was walking across the road when she was run over. She was pronounced dead on `arrival at the Orange Walk Hospital. Wicab was arrested for manslaughter by negligence, causing death by careless conduct, and driving without due care and attention.
Further investigations showed Wicab's license expired back on February 4th. Extra charges of driving a motor vehicle without a valid driver's license and driving a motor vehicle without covering third party risk insurance were piled on when Wicab appeared in Orange Walk's Magistrate Court this afternoon. He was released on $5,000 bail plus two sureties of the same amount. His case was adjourned to May 18th.
