Traffic mishaps have left three persons dead in two separate incidents. The first occurred at around 1:20 on Saturday morning when police visited mile 17 on the Southern Highway. There police found a Ford Ranger pickup truck and a red Mercedes Benz. Both vehicles were on the right side of the road and were extensively damaged. Investigations revealed that 31-year-old Sittee River Village resident Gilbert Romero was traveling alone in his pickup truck heading towards independence village. Upon reaching the area the red Mercedes Benz driven at the time by 30-year-old resident of Dangriga town Tyrone Flores collided into Romero's vehicle. Flores along with his passenger 23-year-old Ryan Valerio also of Dangriga received severe head and body injuries and were pronounced dead on arrival. Police continue to investigate this incident.
