John Doe Floating in Old Belize River

Belmopan police tonight need your help in identifying a man whose remains were found floating in the Old Belize River last night. The discovery was made around 9pm near Young Bank on the Valley of Peace road. The man was wearing only a green brief and was found floating face down. Although the body was partially decomposed, police say he was about 5 feet 5 inches tall. They have also been able to make out a tattoo of "thug life" across his abdomen and "blood 20's" on his right wrist. Police believe they will have an ID of the body by tomorrow, but early indications are that he may have been from San Ignacio.

Police say they do suspect foul play but are awaiting the outcome of a post mortem to confirm it.
