The man was Hispanic, believed to be in his 40s, and fairly short. He had a single gunshot wound to his lower back. And since police don't know who he is, we will show you the victim in the hopes of identifying him. We warn that you will be seeing the face of a dead man. Here's the story.

Eduvina Tobar, Found Body
"We just heard a shot like at about twelve the night but we didn't come out. The thing we did was called the police but the police didn't come. So this morning we called them again when we found the dead body here."
Keith Swift,
Do know the person?
Eduvina Tobar,
"No, I've never seen him before...they just killed him, I don't know why."
Keith Swift,
How many shots did you hear last night?
Eduvina Tobar,
"One, only one."
Keith Swift,
Did you hear anyone calling for help or were the dogs barking or anything?
Eduvina Tobar,
"No. Well before the shot we heard the dogs barking but when we heard the shot, they stopped barking and they didn't bark again. So I felt scared because we've never heard a shot before in front of our house."
The head of Ladyville police Inspector Christopher Noble says job one in the investigation is to identify the murder victim.
