Last year on the morning of May 19th, 33 year old Clifford Nicholson asked a housewife in Burrell Boom for water but instead of saying thanks, he held her at knifepoint and attempted to rape her.
Nicholson was charged for aggravated assault and convicted by Chief Magistrate Margaret McKenzie who sentenced Nicholson to 18 months for his crime.
The housewife alleged that when she served Nicholson the cup of water - he put a knife to her throat and forced her into the bedroom. He forced her to take off her clothes but he didn't rape her.
Nicholson will serve his 18 months for the assault after he finishes serving 2 years for unrelated convictions for firearm and ammunition possession
