Prepare for Traffic Deadlock in Downtown Belize City

If you're going to be driving into or around downtown Belize City tomorrow, prepare for heavy traffic congestion. Starting at 9:00 am, protestors will move off from the Memorial Park through the major streets of Belize City.

Principally, the demonstration dubbed "march for your health" was organized by the Belize Medical and Dental Union - which opposes the Universal takeover. The BMDU has been joined by the Communication Workers Union which is counting down to industrial action, the Public Service Union, the Teacher's Union, and now, the Belize Energy Workers Union.

In a release today, the energy workers say that they held an emergency meeting yesterday and agreed to support their union brothers in protest.
