In June he is set to go on trial for the attempted murder of Gerald Hewlett and now, Derrick Leslie - the son of Deputy Commissioner of Police Maureen Leslie is in trouble again.

Today Leslie was charged in the Belmopan Magistrate's Court with rape. He was charged jointly along with two other men, Wilber Smith and Michael Garbutt who is accused of indecent assault. Leslie appeared in court alongside his attorney Michael Peyrefitte. He pleaded not guilty and was released on bail of $7,000.

The alleged gang rape is alleged to have occurred at a Belmopan residence on March 30th and the alleged victim is a 21-year-old University of Belize student.

One more man is alleged to have been involved and police will charge him as soon as they find him.
