And while she was shot in the behind, a Belize City man just narrowly missed being shot in the head. Ernest Sacassa is at the KHMH recovering from a gunshot that went right through his wrist and another that pierced his side. He says he was hanging out at the Enterprise Nightclub in the Yabra area last night when a young man threatened him with a gun.

"I was in the club and I saw this young boy size me up and I liked watch him. I watched him the face and I saw that he hauled out his 38 and thing I just walked away from him. I went outside to try and find out who is this young boy and if he is from the southside or northside of town. So I found out this young boy is from southside. I asked them what is going on with him because he pulled a gun on me. They told me not to worry about nothing and everything is straight.
When they told me that, when they were telling me that, I was outside of the club. The same one I had spoken to, went to talk to the young boy, and as he walked away from me the gunman came right up and shot me. I was at least three feet from him and he came to shoot me in my head and I raised my hand and it is right through here the bullet passed.
I don't really know him to say, for real I don't have anything with any young bwoy - especially in that age group. I am 24 years old and I am older than all of those young boys."

"No man, I go anywhere. I can still move around anywhere. If I got released right now I would walk right to south side and tell them how they dissed me, once I get released. As I get released, I will make them know they dissed me because they know."
So far, police have made no arrests.
