That zero tolerance also brought down the hammer on Police Constable Rudolph Lawrence. He's accused of the theft of a large quantity of fuel and this time he did it as a driver for a Justice of the Supreme Court.
Lawrence was the driver for Justice Adolph Lucas and in the thirty days between 23rd February and 23rd March 2007 - he signed for 736 gallons of fuel, valued at $7,042 - that's about 35 full tanks of gas! The massive spike in consumption caught the eye of money minders at the Ministry of Finance and two audits were performed to confirm the irregularity.
He has been arrested and charged for theft.
