Akeem Logan &Evan Neal Charged for $40k Esso Robbery

They both live in Belize City but police say that on Monday morning 18 year old Akeem Gotoy Logan and 23-year-old Evan Neal went to Ladyville and held up the Esso Gas Station. Over $39,000 in cash was stolen and so far police have recovered $15,000. This afternoon, Neal, who lives on Berry Street, and Logan, who lives on Mahogany Street, were charged with robbery. They were denied bail.

The entire robbery was captured on the station’s surveillance cameras.

So what led police to the two men? Well Police Press Officer G. Michael Reid told us that the case was sensitive and that’s why he couldn’t let us speak to the investigating officer, Corporal Sam Bonilla.
