Today we met area representative and incumbent for Mesopotamia Michael Finnegan outside the divisional office on Cemetery Road. He said that at times like this, he keeps a close, close eye on the voters’ list.
Hon. Michael Finnegan, Mesop. Area Rep.
“If you are a politician, the most important thing in politics is the voters list. The voters list is extremely essential. It is your bible for elections. Since the registration started, I would imagine that I would have done like 200 plus but the first list came out with a 118 and I would imagine that we are responsible for the entire 118 that came out of the Mesopotamia list for the month of July.”
Jules Vasquez,
You say it in a matter of fact way, that you would be the leading person for transfers and new registrations. You should be gloating.
Hon. Michael Finnegan,
“I will use a quote from Shakespeare: victory over the defenseless is neither great nor memorable.”
As at the end of June, 143,317 voters were registered nationally.
