He was accused of shooting a Chinese businesswoman in her face but George Young Jr. is a free man tonight. The charges of attempted murder, dangerous harm, and use of deadly means of harm were withdrawn this morning by the Director of Public Prosecutions for want of prosecution. That is because the woman he allegedly shot in the face, 40-year old Feng Xui Leng, has gone home to China and she reportedly won't return to Belize.

The shooting is alleged to have occurred on Friday October 13th of 2006 at Diana's Shop on Central American Boulevard. At the time, Leng told police that George Young Jr. ordered groceries and wanted to take them without paying up front.

She refused to allow him to do that and that's when he became angry and left. He returned a short time later with a gun and fired three shots at Leng. One of the bullets grazed her cheek.
