On February 28th two men held up Belize’s premier cyclist Marlon Castillo and stole his $13,000 bike. Castillo’s former team owner Santino Castillo today sent out a statement saying he received a call from someone in Orange Walk yesterday. They told him they had the bike and claimed to have stolen it from the original thief. The man offered to sell Castillo the bike for $4,000 while Castillo counter-proposed for $2,500 but only if was intact with all the original parts.

So yesterday Castillo sent Ernest Jawmaine Meighan to inspect it. He confirmed that it was intact and Jawmaine paid the money and got the bike. Since the now retired Santino Castillo is no longer Marlon’s team owner, the bike is for sale at Ordonez Bike Shop.
