Fire Chiefs 4-Runner Collides with Motorbike

An SUV and a motorbike collided yesterday in Corozal Town and tonight police are trying to figure out who ran into whom. Fire Chief Henry Baizar told police that around 4:40 he was making a right turn into the Texaco Gas Station on 7th Avenue when he heard a knock on the right front portion of his Toyota 4-Runner. Baeza says he jumped out and saw a man lying on the ground with a blue motorcycle beside him and his left big toe ripped off.

The man, later identified as 25 year old Brian Gentle was transported to the Corozal Town Hospital and later to the Northern Regional Hospital. Police are investigating and have issued Baizar with a notice of intended prosecution.
