Marlon Skeen ran the prison at Hattieville for 7 years and now he’s parlaying those skills into a new line of work: he’s becoming a private investigator. It might not seem like a natural progression, but Skeen says he has the requisite skills to do all sorts of things, from identifying a john doe right down to finding who’s Joe grind. He told us about security and intelligent services.
Marlon Skeen, Private Investigator
“On the domestic level it comes from the basic pre-divorce or boyfriend-girlfriend type thing where you want to check on your spouse, you might think there is infidelity or anything like that and you want to double check; that can be done. Missing persons, sometimes a person is missing but you don’t suspect foul play and the police might not give as much attention as they should. We can do stuff like that. Stalking, you might have people who are stalking you or you’re getting prank calls or people are following you, different things; we can take care of that too. So it is a variety of different things.
A lot of the crimes, there is a total blank as to who committed it etc. and there is much more crimes being done than being reported. A lot of things happen that people are frustrated and just don’t report it or they might do report it and just don’t hit the news. So there is a need for it.”
Jules Vasquez,
But if the police with their over 1,000 members cannot solve certain crimes what makes you think you can?
Marlon Skeen,
“I don’t know and that’s why I want to try.”
Jules Vasquez,
What makes you think your prison experience can parlay into investigative work?
Marlon Skeen,
“Because I know a lot of these boys and they bring information to me. Even in the prison and even a lot of information comes to me and this investigation company is one step further, it is putting that information to use.”
Skeen is also a former member of the SIS and says he is certified by the U.S. Department of Justice. You can call him at 610-5579 to make inquiries about your security issue.
