Two people were killed over the weekend when the Toyota Camry they were in crashed into the back of a cargo truck – and what's incredible is that the driver of the cargo truck didn't even know the collision happened.

But it did happen sometime early on Sunday morning when 23 year old Brenda Nicole Requena and 43 year old Daniel Dougal were in a blue Toyota Camry with taxi license plates enroute to Belize City. Between miles 39 and 40 on the Western Highway, Brenda Requena, who was driving, crashed into the rear of white freight liner truck. She was crushed in the driver's seat and received a large cut wound on her forehead. Her passenger Daniel Dougal was flung 3 feet from the vehicle. He got a cut on his nose and later died at the Western Regional Hospital.

41 year old Transito Lopez was driving the cargo truck. He said he had pulled over to take a nap. He got back on the road at 4:30 and that's when he found out that his rear bumper was damaged and later learnt that the Camry had collided into the truck. Police are investigating.
