The last time we heard from them was on August fifth when the team from the Belize Shotokan Karate Association appealed for public assistance to get them into the World Shoto Cup Tournament that was held from October tenth to the thirteenth. Well we are not sure if they did manage to raise all of the fifty three thousand dollars but whatever money was collected it was well worth it.
That’s because tonight we can report that the team not only got to Canada but when they return on Wednesday they will be bringing back a total of five medals. The fourteen contestants who competed against athletes from twenty eight other countries will be bringing home gold, silver and bronze medals.
8 year old Rhiki Allegria shined brightest as he captured both gold and bronze medals, Hanna Diskin won silver and bronze and Luwani Nunez captured the bronze medal. We’ll show you their return tomorrow.
