Last night we reported that Giovanni Nose Luriano was only charged for uncustomed goods after police caught him, with a gun which, given his past history of eluding charges was remarkable but not surprising. But that was incorrect, or at least incomplete; it turns out that Luriano was charged for all the usual unlicensed firearm offences – as well as uncustomed goods.

Our court reporter missed that part of the story – because Luriano was moved to a different courtroom for the other offences after he was charged for the uncustomed goods.

So, the story tonight is that – apart from handling 9 milimeter pistol on which no duty was paid - he was charged with “kept unlicensed firearm without a gun license”, “kept ammunition without a gun license”, “aggravated assault”, “threatening words”, and “resisting lawful arrest.” And as is the case with all firearm offences, he is currently remanded at the Kolbe Foundation and is to return to court on February 23, 2010.

And, there’s one more set of offences. Lauriano was additionally charged jointly with Ernie Miranda for Burglary at the business place of Kiphania Wade at the Farmer’s Market. The robbery happened on January 9th 2010 when 36 pairs of jeans, cash and computer equipment were stolen from the business. Ernie Miranda has also been remanded. This picture of him is form June of last year when police shot him in the leg. At the time he was wanted for a burglary.
