The criminal case against Mayor Moya seems to be in jeopardy after the passing of the City Council’s former Financial Controller and she also got support in the Supreme Court who ordered her reinstatement to the Party Council. But the news tonight is that the UDP Executive has still got it in for Moya. We understand that this week – the Mayor has been presented with a 7 page document detailing the party disciplinary charges and procedural matters against her.
The charges from the Central Executive Committee state that she imputed upon the party leader by implying that he directly or indirectly calculated to fabricate false criminal charges against the mayor; that’s he falsely accused the leader of interference in the administration of justice; the she demeaned the party leader and officers of the party, the she demeaned her office as UDP Mayor by making public statements which are repulsive and unbecoming of the office of Mayor; and that she instilled and fuelled controversy within the UDP.
The charges are based on the interview she gave on the courthouse stairs On October first, 2009.
