At the top of the newscast we told you about a murder in the city. Well, there was also a shooting which happened on Saturday night.
At around 11:40 that night 28 year old Alvin Cumberbatch was standing at the entrance of Trench Alley - which is in front of Salvation Army school - when someone in a vehicle drove by and shot him to the right and left sides of the chest and to the upper and lower right thigh.
Multiple gunshot wounds, but he somehow survived. His mother says he is in a stable condition. She also said that she has no idea who shot her son and what the motive was.
Trench Alley - known as Pregnant Alley - and the nearby Taylor's Alley - has one of the highest incidences of gunshot injuries in the country for any single geographical area.
