And there could have been another murder, also on Saturday night. A teenager was shot as he stood in front of Palm Island nightclub and police believe it could be gang related.
Around three, 17 year old Albert Fuentes and Tevin Abraham were standing in front of the night club when one man pulled up on them and opened fire. They both ran off towards Coney drive while the shooter escaped in a waiting car. Fuentes was shot to the left upper arm and the side of his abdomen.
They fleeing men knocked on the doors of houses in the Coney Drive area asking for help - but wary residents would only offer to call the police. Eventually, the police came and took Fuentes to the hospital, while also taking the pair out of harm's way as they believed the shooter was still circling for them.
Fuentes has been treated and released from the hospital but multiple street sources suggest that the pair feels a police personnel may have been involved in supplying the weapon used in the shooting.
