ASP Alejandro Cowo, OC - CIB

"On Friday 30th June, 2017, sometime after 9pm police responded to shots fired in the Raccoon Street Extension and as a result they visited the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where they observed Raheem Bowden with apparent gunshot wound to the right upper shoulder. What the police have so far is that he was at his yard at #15 Raccoon Extension when he claims that he heard a shot, then realize that he was injured. The persons in the area were interviewed. However, up to now we cannot establish who was the shooters or who was the intended victim, as there were other persons inside of the enclosed yard at the time of the shooting. His companions are known to police, who hangs in the Antelope and Raccoon extensions. We have detained several persons and have interviewed, however, we have nothing direct to link them to the shooting, so we had to release them."
It is still unknown if Bowden was the intended target, since police say that many of the men with him at the time of the shooting are known to them. As many as 10 shots were also fired last night in the North Creek area but no one was injured.
