Today at the press briefing, police gave more details in this home invasion. They said that 4 masked men entered the family home and assaulted the American woman and her son. Here’s more from the Head of National Crimes Investigation:

"Roaring Creek Police were called to Camalote Village, an area known as prayer mountain where they visited the home of a 36 year old American woman who reported to them shortly before 6:30 AM on yesterday's date she was awaken by 4 dark skinned armed male persons who were masked, two of whom were armed with firearms whilst the remainder were armed with knives. Her home was entered where in the process herself and two of her children were forced into one of the rooms and in the process she was hit in the head with one of the firearms where she suffered an injury and also her son received minor injuries after being chocked by one of those assailants. In the process of the commotion her caretaker came to her aid and he too were beaten by those persons where he received several stab wounds. He was transported to the Western Regional Hospital where he is in a stable condition. At this point in time, police is seeking one suspect in connection to this investigation, we are following several leads."
The police say the robbers got away with cash and electronic items. They also confirmed that this is the second time this Ontario home has been targeted.
