Last night, we told you about the bizarre case of a Belmopan man who has been charged for kidnapping his girlfriend.

Well, tonight, we have a bit more details. 30 year-old Illona Coote reported to police that June 13th, she was at the Belmopan home of her boyfriend, Vincent Pascasio. She asked him for the keys to the front door, so that she could leave and go to work, but according to her, Pascasio refused to hand them over, and told her that she wasn't allowed to leave. She said that they got into an argument, which escalated when he started punching her, and he then threw her on the bed and continued the assault.

The abuse allegedly subsided, and she again made an attempt to leave, but he refused, pointing out that her face was badly bruised and beaten. She said that she went to a mirror, saw her face, and she got dizzy. He then picked her up, took her back to the bed room, and handcuffed her hands to the bed head in an attempt to restrain her against her will.

She fell asleep, and woke up the following day with Pascasio asking her if she was hungry. She said that she was, and he left with her phone, and the keys to the handcuff to go buy food. Pascasio did not return until the following day, and according to Coote, he began messaging her friends and lying to them that she was okay. She goes on to report that he did not release her, and instead, he abused her yet again. He didn't allow her to leave until June 22nd, which is when she went to police to formally report him.

As we told you, police say she had significant injuries to her face from being beaten, and he has also been charged for wounding.
