And while Kelly had his day in court, a robber is still on the run. 30-year-old Emerlyn Benner reported to police that on Thursday morning, just after 11, she was on Mahogany Street when a man approached her and pushed her into a chain link fence. The assailant then snatched her gold chain valuing $1,200 and one gold earring valuing $500. He demanded that she hand over her purse, but she refused and instead clubbed him with a roll of gift wrapping paper. That deterred the robber and he ran off.
