Another Wallace brother has met a tragic end at the end of a gun barrell.

This time 32-year-old Phillip Wallace follows siblings Micheal, Andrew, and Charles to an early grave.

It's more tragedy than any mother should rightly have to bear and this morning when Cherisse Halsall sought out Irene Wallace, the mother of all four men, she spoke with unimaginable strength and but also a desire for retribution.

Here's that story.

This sunlit, shadowless Kraal Road alley was a crime scene on Friday night. The place where 32-year-old Phillip Wallace took his last stand.

It's an end that caught Phillip off guard; he'd spent the first part of the night at his mother's house, and then he ducked out in a joyous mood on a quick weed run.

"Phillip was here Friday evening because he was talking to me and then he said that he was going out. So, I said okay, and he went behind a young lady you know giving jokes and things from my understanding but then the next thing he never did come back up to now and then I guess reality has to step in for me."

"There are lots of theories but the main theory is that somebody from the neighborhood somebody had a misunderstanding and thing and I guess Phillip didn't know about it. And then he went, from what the guys tell me, he went to purchase weed ok because around the neighborhood didn't have any, so he went to purchase weed, and the next thing you know they just shot him."

The cops say while the Wallace's were blissfully unaware someone had plotted Phillip's death.

Hilberto Romero, Deputy Head, NCIB
"Information was that he was at an alley on Kraal Road when he was approached by three male persons who fired shots towards him. An investigation is being conducted and we are seeking three suspects in regards to this shooting."

"It's hard and it's rough but I have medical problems so I try to keep calm right because those guys kill my son and they don't know what they do to me."

Wallace says that while she knew Phillip was living a rough life, one prone to many dangers, she'd hoped that at least here in their neighborhood he was safe.

"I would have felt good in a sense if that incident that he got into in November of last year, say if they had killed him there. I wouldn't have felt it so, you see it, but then it's people that he knows, and then everybody in the area knew who killed my son, and then people would say oh well they won't say anything and thing but then I might be hurting now and I will hurt forever because I've already buried three and he will be the fourth, and the thing about it those same mother's there, they will cry because there's a god above and what goes around comes around. And, just like how I am hurting I try to be strong. Everybody says oh Miss Wallace you strong but nobody knows, I'm not sleeping, I'm not even eating like catching one meal a day, nobody knows that feeling and that hurt because then you'd say which one of the next ones."

"But I want to send a strong message to all of them that are involved, I just hope they can run because they will have to run and that's my message to them. And I pray, my children they or I am not going to do them anything, and thing, but Phillip will get them back because they chance Phillip out of his life. He didn't deserve to die like that, never, never did."

Phillip Wallace was very well known to the police, having been accused of multiple crimes including a November 2020 home invasion and the 2010 shooting of 7-year-old Janay Moguel. He was also charged for a murder for which he was acquitted.
