It will be filled but not with Dr Marvin Manzanero, no way, now how under a PUP administration. He returns form administrative leave tomorrow and Chebat says he faces two choices:

"Dr. Manzanero has been given several options and it is for him to decide whichever options he wants. Whatever option he decides to go with he will have his full salary, he will have all the benefits that he enjoyed as director of health services."

"Does he come back to work on Wednesday with one of those options, in terms of position or does he then go an extended leave?"

"There is a process and the process must be followed through. Dr. Manzanero knows very well what the options are before him and so it is a matter for him to determine what he is going to do."
The posts Manzanero have been offered are both equivalent to demotions: one as a medical officer, the other as Director of the TB and HIV program - which is where he entered the public service in 2006.
