And while those are Coast Guard Officers accused of a major crime, tonight a nurse is accused of smuggling guns and weed.

And while police couldn't stop that shooting, they may have prevented another crime when they found two more firearms today, this time in the possession of a nurse.

The police stopped a vehicle at a checkpoint at mile 32 on the George Price Highway with the nurse, 37-year-old Krisata Zelaya, and another man, 20-year-old Keyon Bowman, inside. That's when they found the guns and 157 grams of suspected cannabis. Today the ComPol gave a briefing on this matter.

Reports say the young man may end up taking the rap for the guns and weed.
