And while the cops try to solve those weekend murders, they are getting ready to prosecute a teacher for allegedly attempting to incite violence against sitting ministers of government and their families.

We are told the teacher made several posts in an internal WhatsApp group for one of the branches of the BNTU.

2 of his messages, said, quote, "It's time for six ministers to have some accident at the same time… Be creative, use the limited talent." End quote.

Police intelligence picked up on these worrisome chat messages, and it appears that they are deciding to take action against him - though it's not clear who is the complainant - if there even is one.

We asked the Police Commissioner about the case today, and here's what he told us:

Chester Williams - Commissioner of Police
"Indeed, yes, a teacher was detained in San Joaquin Village, Corozal District, yesterday after a number of text messages were sent with us that he had shared on a blog with other teachers. And in those posts that he had sent, he was sending threats to ministers and to families of ministers, and to some extent, was trying to recruit other persons to join him in that cause. Actions like those cannot be countenanced, and as a department, we are investigating it. He is in police custody, and he should be charged for using threatening words, while looking at the possibility of charging him under the cybercrime act because it does have provisions where a person would make any threat or whatever against another person. And so, we're looking at that to see how we go with the investigation."

Late word is that the teacher in questions has been charged for threatening words. Again, it's not clear who is the complainant.
