Switching gears now to politics….tonight, Leader of the Opposition Patrick Faber is under intense scrutiny after a video surfaced showing him losing his temper at the home of his baby's mother.

In the video Faber is seen returning his two year old daughter to her mother's home - and shortly after handing her over - there's an exchange of words - and then suddenly, Faber explodes into a rage, charging towards a door in the house.

After that, a violent succession of slams is heard on the doors.

It's disturbing behaviour - and made more so by what appears to be the very real threat of physical violence.

This evening Faber issued a statement acknowledging the error of his ways and vowing to to better:

Hon. Patrick Faber, Leader of the Opposition
"A recent change in my relationship status has created circumstances that I feel have unjustly kept me away from my 2 year old daughter. It is my hope that the situation can, in short order, be remedied in the court."

"On that day in the video, I allowed my emotions to get the better of me and for that I am truly sorry. The situation was made worse as it happened in the presence of my beloved princess whom I have since made good with, sealed and delivered with many butterfly kisses. I make the commitment now that I will take steps to ensure such circumstances never repeat themselves."

"Parenting is not an easy job, co-parenting is even more difficult. I learn as I live, but ultimately its all about our little ones …I forgot that for a brief moment… lesson learned!"

Of course that statement cannot be the end of another messy domestic episode for Faber, and the grumblings of discontent are already audible in his party. We'll see where it goes.
