And while Flowers blazed up his union brother, Henry sang his swan song without hardly raising his voice, despite the fact that he felt undermined throughout his tenure as president. He alleges that even until the very end, the council of management was working to challenge him - even turning the membership against him by calling meetings without his knowledge.

Henry alleges only the president has that power, but the executive body had no regard for that since they would organize the meetings when Henry was unable to attend, thus painting the picture that he was purposely missing the meetings and thus abandoning the union. Here's how he put it:
