And the police have launched their investigation into this matter, though they are holding back from speculating about Tizol's cause of death. ACP Joseph Myvett said that they were working on new information they had just received today.

ACP Joseph Myvett, Head NCIB

"On yesterday morning, shortly after 6am, police were called to an area on the Valley of Peace Road, just a few yards off the highway, where they discovered the body of a Hispanic male with injuries. That point in time, the body did not bear any identification, the scene was processed and the body was removed and taken to the Belmopan hospital where it was pronounced dead on arrival. Police investigation so far has led us to believe that the identity of this person is one Julio Cesar Tizol, 23 years Guatemalan national, who was residing in Teakettle Village. The extent of his injuries, he had some injuries to his head, however we will have to await the outcome of the post mortem results in order to properly determine what was the cause of his death."

"At this point in time, we do not want to speculate, we prefer to await the post mortem results."

"We know that he was living in a common law union with someone in Teakettle Village and it is said he departed there some time in the afternoon of Saturday. We've also been following some information that he may have been at a nightclub outside Belmopan sometime shortly before midnight, thereabouts, on Saturday."

"He was socializing with some friends. We kinda got this information today so we're working on that to verify whether that is so."

We note that while the police said Tizol was 23-years-old, his family told us he was 21.
