Tonight, a family of five is homeless after two alleged arson attempts made it clear to them that they were no longer welcome in the area.
And if you're thinking it's yet another score in the southside fire plot you might be surprised to learn that it happened in a completely different area of the city for what seems to be a completely different reason.
Our Cherisse Halsall spoke to arson victim, and mother of three Dalila Flores. Here's the storey of how she had to save her kids in a burning house.
These are the charred remains of the fabric that was used to set Dalila Flores's house on fire.
And while the makeshift home wasn't burnt to the ground, that fire set in the wee hours of the morning posed a serious risk to the lives of a family of four.
Dalila Flores, Victim of attempted arson
"It was this morning at 2:00 a.m when someone must have come into the yard and put fire on these clothes and then he went to take it to the back and start the fire."
"They cut the hose because they wanted the gas tank to get more fire, they wanted to explode the whole house."
That's when Dalila and her husband felt the heat and scrambled to get their family out alive. But shockingly that wasn't the only attempt on the home today.

"This morning when I went to get some water I realize somebody was peeing at me through the bush. So, I said it must be the same person, so I got out my children and I went to my neighbors to ask them to help me."
"I just took like 10 minutes and I came back and I came again and I saw the house on fire so the neighbors came and put it out. As you see where I live I don't know who could have such a heart to do such a bad thing."
The land located in a swampy area of the Jane Usher area reportedly belongs to BWS but Flores who admits that she's been squatting claims that the company was in no rush to remove her and her family.
She says that the problem came instead from what she calls constant harassment from one of their neighbors.

"To this person I just want to tell her may the lord bless you because my god is watching over you."
And in light of the recent southside fire plots targeting southside homes in the Antelope Street extension, we wondered if gang violence had anything to do with this fire.
Dalila Flores, Victim of attempted arson
"No, I don't believe that usually, they used to come and pass here and everything was alright, nothing was happening to us. It was only this situation, this person who is behind us making us move from this spot."
"I cannot stay here anymore because I feel that I am in danger and my children too, not only me. So, I have to move out and I know that God will bless me, all the curses that this person threw me I know that God will turn it into blessings and there is a way, I just want to call the government to please I went to lands and left my name right there and they told me they were going to call me, they should investigate who really need a piece of land and give it to the people who really need it."
"I really need it. I am Belizean my husband is Belizean and my three children too."
And indeed Dalila left the area today, a place that she and her family had called home for over 5 months.
