A 33-year-old woman is in the morgue and the circumstances surrounding her death are still a mystery. Griceldi Cano, a resident of Santa Clara Village in Corozal, was thrown out of a moving vehicle between miles 73 and 74 on the Philip Goldson Highway last night. But did someone throw her out or did she jump out? The driver, 54-year-old Fabio Eudalio Cano, told police that she opened the door and threw herself out. But Griseldi's mother isn't buying the story, and says that the couple were constantly arguing. Our colleagues at CTV3 spoke to her.

"I spoke to her, she had fun with her nephews right there under the tree. She was just having fun with the kids. We had lunch, she told me she was going to shower, she went at around 3:30. Then she asked her little sister to lend her $25 because the man was asking her for money to put diesel. I told her I only have $10 so I gave her. The man was demanding for money. 3:30 she left from here because she will take [her son Eric] with her. I told her to leave him so she didn't take him."

"Last night I was sleeping and then I woke up and sat on my bed when I saw some lights coming from outside, I saw it was the police, so I went to call my husband to get up because there are many police outside. My husband got up and I opened the door. The police told me if here is where Griceldi Cano live, I told them yes I am her mother. They told me that they have bad news for me, that Griceldi suffered an accident and I asked them what happened, if she's hurt, and they told me they feel for me because she's dead, they only come for me so I could identify the body. I told them I can't because I suffer from gastritis so I called her father and he told them he was going with them. My [other] daught. I think she has no reason to throw herself from the vehicle."

"She used to stay with me but when she used to get upset, she ld go with him. Sometimes he used to take the kid. And the child said they used to argue a lot."

"She was a very happy person, she was a bit rude, but she was always happy with everyone. She used to help in everything. Not only with family, with anyone that would ask her for help, she would go and help."

"The driver said that it happened like about 6:30. But she sent a message like 8:30 so that's what has me confused. I am just asking the police to do a proper investigation because I am demanding justice."
