Public Service Has New Hours

Right now - most of Belize is under lockdown due to the 7:00 pm COVID curfew. And the enhanced measures have forced businesses across the country to revise their opening hours - so that workers can get home before curfew.

And, the government - which was already on reduced hours due to the pay cut - is now cutting back even more.

A circular sent out today announces the revised standardised working hours for the public service, which will now go from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on Monday to Thursday, and 8:00 am - 3:30 pm on Friday's.

This new contracted schedule will only run until the new measures end at midnight on October third.
