At the top of the news you saw that 24-year-old Dane Gillett was charged for the murder of 15-year-old Dwayne Gabourel. After the news broke, Gillett's mother took to Facebook to share a picture of her son, claiming that he has an alibi. The post reads, quote, "This is the outfit my son had on at the funeral, he was in the Martin's area for Michael's funeral. This picture was taken at 4:22pm by his sister…" End quote. She also says that she will fight for justice for her son, whom she claims is innocent, and that she will continue to show the proof until the charges are dropped and changes made to the justice system. We note that Gabourel's murder occurred after 6pm and the murderer was wearing a dark colored shirt with red sleeves.
We note also that the accused is Laddie Gillett's cousin from Majestic Alley and has ties to Kelly street.
