Last night we told you about the Caribbean Chicken delivery men who had their truck stolen from right in front of their eyes. It happened yesterday at about 2:20 p.m., a broad daylight robbery right in the once quiet capital. And tonight there's an update in the story, one that makes it a much more dramatic affair than we'd originally reported.

That's because the delivery men weren't standing in front of the vehicle, they were robbed at gunpoint and taken hostage inside it as the thieves drove off. The sideman, 32-year-old Daniel Magana, was locked in the freezer, and while the driver, 28-year-old Odin Herarate, was hit in the face with a firearm and made to sit in the passenger's seat.

However, as they turned onto Libertad junction, Herarate jumped out of the vehicle making his escape. After that, the robbers, seemingly satisfied with the undisclosed amount of cash they stole and probably fearing identification by Herrarte, ditched the truck in an abandoned lot.

Police have since detained one person and are looking for another.
