And we know the police officers caught were part of the Commander Ops Strike Team - the unit assigned to respond to drug plane reports. So what will now happen to the other members of this elite team and their leader, ACP Marco Vidal? Today the ComPol told us they have been transferred while the investigation is ongoing.

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police

"The team that worked with Mr. Vidal at operations office, those who were not arrested as a part of this plane landing, they have all been transferred to the regular police body. Again, while we still continue to do our investigations because we do certain things it might uncover the involvement of other persons, so long as there is evidence later on to suggest that any other person be it police officers or not, and regardless of rank or whatever is involved, we will follow the evidence and do what needs to be done."

"There are certain changes that we are making in the senior command. I can tell you off the bat that Mr. Vidal handed over the office of commander operations today to ACP Alford Grinage. Mr. Vidal moves over to another area, but may I also make it clear that at this time there is no indication to suggest that he is involved. But, just so as to make the investigation seems as fair as possible without any sort of interference, we believe that it is the right thing to do and whatever other changes that is being made in the senior command will be announce tomorrow."

"Will there be an audit of the activities in this unit to sort of see if previous plane landings where couldn't find the drugs, couldn't find the people - if those were also facilitated by people in this unit?"

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"Of course, yes the investigation is looking at every possibility. We are not ruling out anything and that's the reason why we have a cross section of investigators and we have not kept away our international partners. Like I said the DEA is a part of the investigation every step of the way, because at the end of the day we want to show them as well that as a department we are not covering up nobody and we are doing what needs to be done."

While the Commissioner didn't say where ACP Vidal was going to be transferred to- we have since learned that he has now taken over as the Commander Management Services. The previous Commander of that post, ACP Alden Dawson now reportedly goes over to the National Crimes Investigation Branch - where he will be under Joseph Myvett - let's just say, less than a felicitous arrangement.
