And from the men to their mode of transportation…Three vehicles were confiscated on the night of the landing, and Corporal Nah and PC Caliz were found in another vehicle on Saturday - all of them without license plates, and two that we saw had expired insurance tags.
And more reports suggested that maybe these vehicles, which were impounded, were simply taken by these officers without going through the proper procedures. Again, the ComPol clarified what he said was another rumor.

"I know that we have some of those vehicles that were impounded as stolen vehicles and we have gone through the process of applying at the ministry of finance and have them incorporated into police use and were assigned to the unit, but yes I know of one vehicle that is involved and is confiscated vehicle and did not go through that process and so I just met with commander PSB this morning and that is also part of the investigation."

"A lot of these vehicles doesn't have license or insurance, doesn't it make it seem like the police were using vehicles that shouldn't have been out on the road?"

"I wouldn't say it don't have licensed and insurance, they do have, may be not licensed plates, but they do have license and insurance."

"Is it standard operating procedure on the part of the department to allow vehicles to carry on official police duty despite not bearing a licensed plate?"

"We encourage our officers and even from the vehicle care unit which is in charge of the government vehicular assets, they have always been pressing that we need to have license plate on our vehicles and even my assigned vehicle at one point I did not have a license plate, because there was none and even me I was written to by the person in charge of the vehicle care unit to make sure my vehicle have a licensed plate and they are perfectly in order, every vehicle that is on the highway must have a license plate. Yes, we do understand that if it a situation where the licensed authority do not have plates at the time and so you are unable to be issued one, but once you have a plate you must put it on your vehicle."
