Man Charged for Hyde Murder

Police have been quick to charge a man for Sunday night's murder of 29 year old Adrian Hyde. At 9:30, Hyde was fatally stabbed outside his apartment at the corner of Mopan and Vernon streets.

Police formally arrested and charged 24 year old Malique Gentle, a 24-year-old, Fisherman of a Belize City address for Murder.

Police say Hyde had a number of persons at his home when a misunderstanding occurred which led to him being stabbed and left for dead on his verandah.

And we want to stress that this fatal stabbing did not occur at Vernon Street Business Plaza - as we showed yesterday. That is also at the corner of Vernon and Moon but that is NOT where it happened. It happened at an apartment across the street. We apologise for the mix up.
