Our Cherisse Halsall is into her second week in now, and while there she brought us extensive coverage of the efforts of Belize's delegation the COP, as we've told you that's a monumental effort with over 30 delegates having traveled to the northern Scottish City to do their part to secure climate justice and climate financing for Belize.

But Belize can't fight for climate justice alone, it has to negotiate as part of the CARICOM bloc, and working right alongside us are our neighbors like Jamaica, Barbados, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. That country's minister of Sustainable Development, Carlos James, Addressed COP26's Plenary today telling a room of global ministers that if the Caribbean is to successfully adapt to the shifts of climate change it will need extensive support from global partners.

Cherisse Halsall caught up with him after that speech and he told her about his hopes for the final days of COP.
