And, tonight, Police Corporal Elmer Nah is on remand charged - along with 10 others - for possession and trafficking of that volume of drugs.
But, police watchdog and self styled drug plane hunter, Edward Martinez says that on Sunday while Nah was detained for possession of unlicensed ammunition, he was threatening Martinez via facebook messenger. The message told Martinez that he could end up on a "missing persons list."
Now, there's no way anyone in detention should have access to their phone, and the internet. But, we know factually that it happens - one more speak easy luxury afforded to cops who are detained.
But, did it happen in this case? When we asked the Commissioner about it- he said the good Corporal's FB page must've been hacked:
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"You have to understand there are several things that is happening at this time and people will go at lengths. I can assure you that Cpl. Nah did not have his phone while he was in lock-up. I don't know if someone may have had access to his account or it's a fake account that someone created and is using it to do it. But I have advised Edward Martinez to come in and make a report and we will be able to investigate to see exactly where the messages are coming from. So, I expect that he is going to do that today."
Edward Martinez today confirmed that he has made that complaint and requested court action.
